Scott moved out west in 1981, working for Dallas/Ft Worth stations, K-104-FM, KVIL-FM, KLIF-AM and KRBV-FM. His resume includes host and creative director duties with ABC Radio Networks, Sports Director for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network and host/writer for the syndicated video magazine, The Beam. Scott has appeared on CNN's "Talk-Back Live w/Arthel Neville" and done feature reporting for the Cowboys SilverStar TV network. He is a two time Press Club of Dallas Katy Award winner, and along with Judy and Bobby, winner of a Houston Press Club award for Best Talk Show. The show, DayBreakUSA! |

Scott West has been a part of DayBreakUSA since December of 1998, when he was chosen as a designated back-up to it's original hosts. In August of 2005, Scott became a full-time co-host, followed by his becoming the lead host in September of 2007. His career began 29 years ago in the nations top broadcast market, New York City, on WWRL-AM. He soon joined the air staff at sister station WRVR-FM, and was there when it made the legendary switch from Jazz to Country Western on September 8th, 1980, becoming Kick 106-FM.
