Scott Neuman started cooking professionally at a country club at age 17, and there he found new ways of expression through his instinctual culinary savvy. Scott turned up the heat in Portland dining, with the opening of OBA! Restaurante, having successfully gained previous notoriety cooking at Portland’s Hall Street Grill.

Whether its exquisite Asian infusions,...spiced Latin foods from Cuba, South and Central America or Mexico...or a simple dish you can do yourself—
